The Puppy You've
Been Waiting For.
You know how some dogs just stop you in your tracks? That was me the first time I saw a sable Cavapoochon. With their rich, ever-changing coats and that signature round face, they look like they stepped straight out of a storybook—or maybe a really fancy boutique window.
So, what exactly is a sable Cavapoochon? Let’s break it down. A Cavapoochon is a three-way cross: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Poodle, and Bichon Frise. Add the sable gene into the mix, and you get a dog with a multi-tonal coat that starts dark and often lightens over time. A sable puppy might be born with black-tipped fur, only to fade into a warm honey or cream color with dark accents on the ears or tail as they mature. It’s like watching a living watercolor change seasons.
Beyond their beauty, sable Cavapoochons have the same friendly, affectionate nature the breed is known for. They tend to be outgoing but not hyper, cuddly but still up for an adventure. Thanks to their mixed heritage, they often inherit the smarts of a poodle, the sweetness of a Cavalier, and the cheerful spark of a Bichon. Who wouldn’t like an adorable, little companion with soulful eyes?
At Storytail Dogs, we occasionally have sable Cavapoochon puppies in our litters, and they’re always among the first to be reserved. We raise our puppies in-home with early socialization, gentle grooming exposure, and lots of love—so they grow into confident, family-ready companions.
